Even if you started a PPC campaign today it will take time to get it dialed in with Google. Expect 3-4 months to get it right.

What’s the fastest way to fill beds?

Referrals are the fastest way to fill beds bar none. We have found that many treatment centers get referrals from other treatment centers. Be careful buying leads from lead vendors. This can cross over into patient brokering and Stark Law or buying patients with insurance policies. The Stark Law, also known as the physician self-referral law, prohibits physicians from referring Medicare or Medicaid patients to entities with which they have a financial relationship, unless specific exceptions are met. This law aims to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure that medical decisions are made based on patient care rather than financial incentives.

What will provide a steady stream of clients?

We love SEO. Start with creating a lot of relevant content. Write and create content towards an audience of the family as well as the addict. Each page on your website should have one primary subject or thought that it should rank for. i.e. relapse prevention for heroin addicts. This helps your website rank higher in organic search results, which saves you money compared to pay-per-click advertising. However, this approach also takes longer to provide results. Therefore, for most clients, we recommend a combination of both content marketing and link building in order to get much-needed short-term leads. Giving your website a makeover is also a very effective way to improve both short-term and long-term lead conversion. Most websites aren’t optimized to generate targeted leads. Doing this can help leap-frog you ahead of the competition relatively quickly. Does your website have a call to action? Is your website loading quickly? These are two simple things that are often ignored.

Twenty percent of your monthly revenue is a good starting point to budget for your advertising monthly budget. If your monthly revenue is $100K, you should be investing $20K per month in your marketing. $10K is the absolute minimum to gain any traction in this competitive industry. If you’re spending less than this, that may be the No. 1 source of your sales problems right there, you might be undercapitalized. Of course, you need to spend that money wisely. Should I invest in traditional or digital marketing?

Put it this way. We spend $10’s of thousands of dollars in Los Angeles on outdoor advertising and billboards. Guess what? We only got a handful of phone calls and we bought billboards in a half a dozen locations around all the clogged freeways in LA. Stick with what works. Organic search and GMB search are your best options, they work.
